A flanged pipe is a pipe with flanges welded at both ends, creating a solid joint system.

A riser pipe is a pipe that extends vertically between one level and another with the purpose of transporting water, liquids, steam, gas, etc. It represents the main application of flanged pipes.

The main difference is that AISI 316 steel contains molybdenum, unlike AISI 304 steel, making it more resistant to corrosion and therefore preferred in the chemical, petrochemical, food and pharmaceutical industries.

Compared to a PVC pipe, a flanged steel pipe has a very strong pressure resistance and optimally withstands torsion, vibrations and water hammer. For more information, consult the dedicated article at this link.

Other questions

Both are ferrous alloys which however differ in chemical composition: stainless steel contains at least 10.5% chromium, which makes it shiny and more resistant to corrosion. Carbon steel, on the other hand, contains a greater quantity of carbon, so it is more flexible, has a lower melting point and better heat distribution.

Galvanizing is a process through which a protective layer of zinc is created on metal parts, especially steel, to protect them from corrosion. Protection occurs with a dual mechanism: it acts as a barrier, interposing itself between the surface of the metal and the atmosphere, and it corrodes instead of steel due to the difference in electrochemical potential of the two metals.

A seamless pipe is obtained using the Mannesmann process, which consists of two main phases: the production of the perforated tube and the pilgrim-step rolling. Our carbon steel flanged pipes can be supplied either longitudinally welded or seamless (Mannesmann pipe).

The gasket in flanged pipes serves to make the connection pressure-tight. It is made of a softer material than those of the flanges and is inserted before tightening the bolts.

The pressure tightness of the flanged connection is also ensured by their design, which often have concentric grooves on their faces, the purpose of which is to create a greater leakage path than in the case of smooth faces, discouraging the loss of fluid under pressure.

A fitting is a hydraulic interconnection device between two different parts, such as a pipe and a pump, or two pipes of different diameters or with different connections, such as a flanged pipe and a threaded pipe.

The well cap is the terminal part of the artesian well and carries out the function of supporting the entire flanged vertical column. The termination can be either straight or curved, depending on the interconnection needs of the system to be built on the surface.

Corrosion is an irreversible degradation process of the characteristics of a material to which all objects exposed to atmospheric agents or placed in the ground are subjected. This is a phenomenon of electrochemical nature, i.e. due to a chemical-physical interaction of the metallic material with the environment that surrounds it.

A flange is a metal ring welded to the ends of the flanged pipe that allows a rigid connection between them. It has several holes parallel to the center of the tube, which can accept bolts for tightening.

Flanged pipes are mainly used as delivery pipes in water lifting systems or wastewater treatment plants. Furthermore, they are widely used in the chemical and oil industries, in fire-fighting systems and in general in all types of installations above the ground level. They are also widely used in temporary installations, for example on construction sites, and to interconnect accessories that have a flanged connection.

We produce flanged pipes with diameters ranging from 2″ to 6″ and the standard commercial length of 6 meters (approximately 3 meters for vertical axis pumps), however shorter lengths can be requested.

Flanged pipes does not require any special equipment or preparation to install. In this regard, we have created a simple guide accessible at this link.

Certainly! We create products based on specific customer projects limited to the technical capabilities of our machinery. Contact us to request a quote.

We produce flanged pipes for vertical axis pumps compatible with the following brands: Caprari, Rovatti, Zanni, Mec-2, Landini. However, upon request we also produce compatible pipes for other brands.

Given the continuous variability of raw materials, it is not possible for us to define a constant price over time for flanged steel pipes. Request a quote using our contact form, specifying the details of the request, we will send you all the information as soon as possible.

We ship our flanged pipes to Italy and throughout Europe by land via courier, also with the possibility for the customer to use a courier of his/her choice. We also generally carry out international shipments by courier where possible, or by sea container for large orders.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to define in advance the timeline for the production of flanged pipes, as it depends both on the period of the year and on the supply times of the material. By requesting a quote specifying the details of the request, we will also be able to give an indication of the production timeline.
